“They say love often finds you when you least expect it, and our story is no exception.”

Lauren and Zachary were first introduced through a mutual friend. At the time, they were both focused on their own paths; and with life moving at such a fast pace, their initial encounter was “nothing more than a passing acquaintance.” Months later, however, fate seemed to intervene when they both ended up on family vacations in Cabo San Lucas at the exact same time.

“It was in Cabo,” Lauren describes, “surrounded by the sun-drenched beaches and warm ocean breeze, that everything changed. There was something magical about the moment – something about being away from our daily routines and surrounded by the natural beauty of the sea – that allowed us to truly connect. We saw each other with fresh eyes, and the chemistry between us was undeniable. That unexpected reconnection, sparked by the salty air and golden sunsets, became the beginning of something we could never have imagined.”

Lauren vividly remembers her first impression of Zachary, as he was “effortlessly charming, with a calm presence and an energy that drew people in.” Yet it was his music that truly caught her attention.

“He had such an unexpected, eclectic taste,” she explains. “It was soulful and nostalgic, yet current. I remember thinking, ‘If this guy’s heart is anything like his playlist, I’m in trouble.’ There was an ease to our conversations and an excitement that felt refreshing. I wasn’t just intrigued – I felt understood, seen, and completely myself.”

Cabo – “Our Special Place”

As the years went on, the couple’s connection only deepened as they traveled, built a life together, and “created a rhythm that felt like home.” When it came time to propose, Zachary chose to pop the question in the one destination that made sense: “Cabo – our special place.”

“He brought me back to where it all began,” says Lauren, “and in that same magical setting where we first fell for each other, he got down on one knee. I don’t remember every word he said – I was too overwhelmed with emotion – but I’ll never forget the feeling: pure joy, love, and a deep sense of knowing that this was exactly where I was meant to be.”

With Cabo playing such a significant role in Lauren and Zachary’s love story, planning a destination wedding in Mexico was an easy decision.

“We wanted a venue that felt luxurious, intimate, and deeply connected to nature,” Lauren adds. “We found exactly that in the breathtaking Banyan Tree Mayakoba. Nestled between pristine beaches and lush mangroves, the resort offered the perfect mix of serenity and sophistication. “Planning a destination wedding could have been overwhelming,” she continues, “but we were fortunate to work with Michelle from My Perfect Wedding. Michelle has a unique ability to translate emotion into experience. She understood our vision and elevated it beyond what we thought possible. Her attention to detail, grace under pressure, and passion for her craft made the entire process feel seamless and joyful.”

A Luxurious and Intimate Atmosphere

When the wedding day arrived, there was a quiet stillness and a sense of awe that the big moment was finally happening. As the bride and groom got ready, they experienced laughter, happy tears, and a nervous energy that melted into pure joy as soon as they saw each other.

Our guests dined under the stars, surrounded by candlelight, enjoying an exquisite menu that celebrated local flavors with refined technique.

“What made the night truly unforgettable, though, were the little moments. The unplanned laughs with friends, the tight hugs with family, the look we shared across the table during dinner – it was all so full of love. There was a palpable sense of connection in the air, and we felt completely present, soaking in each second.”

Exploring Japan

After their luxurious destination wedding experience at Banyan Tree Mayakoba, the newlyweds set off to explore Japan for their honeymoon – an entirely new world for them that felt fascinating and inspiring.

“From ancient temples to buzzing cities and tranquil gardens,” Lauren shares, “every moment was an adventure. It was a beautiful way to reflect, to reset, and to savor the beginning of our marriage.

“And just when we thought this season of our lives couldn’t be any more special, we found out… we’re expecting a baby this September. We couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter as a family, carrying all of this love and magic with us into the future.

Gabriella and Matan Paret are a Hinge dating app success story, which unfolded like a modern day rom-com.

“From the moment I saw her eating a delicious slice of pizza as her profile picture on Hinge,” Matan states, “I was immediately drawn to Gaby. When she told me she had Grimaldi’s delivered to her at a club in Vegas, I knew I had to meet this girl.”

For Gaby, Matan’s love of food, restaurants, and travel were added bonuses to his charm. The couple’s first date took place on a rainy Monday night and included a hilarious mashup of scratch lotto tickets, food truck tacos, a swanky speakeasy, and a first kiss.

“This man didn’t just sweep me off my feet,” she shares, “he practically mopped the floor with me.”

“Drinks at a bar, tacos at a taco truck, and more drinks turned a rainy Monday into one of the best nights of my life,” Matan adds.

“I knew right away that this amazing woman in front of me was the person I hoped to end up with – she was funny, ambitious, loved her family fiercely, and loved food as much as me (which is saying something)! After that date, I was just constantly hoping and praying that she felt the same way.”

Gaby did, in fact, feel the same way; and she said “yes” on two special occasions. The first, being when Matan asked her to be his girlfriend at Sushi Fumi. The second, was when he proposed at the top of a castle, overlooking Mexico City.

A Destination Wedding at Grand Velas Los Cabos with a Soft and Romantic Ambiance

When it came time to plan their big day, Gaby and Matan decided to host a destination wedding at Grand Velas Los Cabos in Mexico.

“Lynette and her team knew exactly which vendors and what was needed to make our romantic, soft, fun, beautiful wedding of our dreams come true,” says Gaby. “Velas [Resorts] and Andres specifically was dedicated to making it happen.”

Surrounded by the exquisitely rugged setting of Mexico’s coastline, the bride and groom celebrated their nuptials amid a soft and romantic ambiance of lush florals, pops of pink, and Mexican influences.

As the couple shares, “It was the best weekend of our lives – happiest, most special feeling ever.”

A Luxury Italian Garden Wedding at Villa Balbiano, Designed As an Ethereal Floral Masterpiece

Liz Inglisa and Kraeton Moll met during their senior year of high school in 2015. It was a simple and unassuming moment – just a quick conversation while walking out of school one day.

“Neither of us could have predicted then how much that small exchange would change our lives,” says Liz. “But from that moment on, we never stopped talking. Our connection was immediate, easy, and magnetic.”

Over the past decade, the couple has grown up together while sharing countless milestones including going to college at the University of Missouri, building their dream house, and adding a dog to the family. 

The proposal took place in September of 2022. During a private sunset boat ride in Positano, Kraeton got down on one knee and asked Liz to marry him. 

“Afterwards,” Liz shares, “we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant with a view of the coastline and the twinkling lights of Positano. It was truly magical. Ever since that night, we knew Italy was where we wanted to say, ‘I do.’”

A Luxury Italian Garden Wedding at Villa Balbiano

Having visited Lake Como in 2017, Liz and Kraeton immediately decided to host a destination wedding in Italy. After falling in love with Villa Balbiano, the couple worked with their planner, Oana, to create a wedding vision inspired by a luxury Italian garden.

“Every detail was carefully thought out and rooted in our personal style,” Liz adds. “We didn’t want a day that just looked beautiful, we wanted a day that felt like us. When it came to designing our ceremony, we knew we wanted to create something that had never been done before. Villa Balbiano already offered a breathtaking natural backdrop, and we wanted our florals and layout to complement and elevate that beauty. Our inspiration came from the famous Italian garden of Giardini Pellegrini, which we tried to replicate in our ceremony design. But we couldn’t have brought that vision to life without our wedding planner, Oana, and our incredible florists, Lake Como Florist. Their ability to bring ideas to life surpassed every expectation.”

The couple’s wedding décor vision carried over into the reception, where they wanted guests to feel like they were “dining inside a blooming floral masterpiece.” 

“I always envisioned an explosion of pinks, greens, and whites that would feel ethereal but grounded in nature,” Liz explains, “like you were still sitting in a garden, but one that took your breath away. Lake Como Florist gets all the credit for our chandeliers, which became one of the most talked about design elements of the evening. We wanted something unique, and they created floral chandeliers that looked like blooming flowers suspended above the tables. The tablescape was equally thoughtful, with grapes delicately placed along the florals, bow-tied candles, and circular menus that fit perfectly into each plate – small touches that made a big impact.”

Married in Lake Como

The bride and groom’s Lake Como wedding experience started on a fashion-forward note, as they enjoyed a pre-wedding photo session with a vintage 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster. It was the perfect way to add a touch of old-world glamour to the weekend.

To calm their nerves before the wedding ceremony, the couple decided early on to have a first look as well. Spending that time together and exchanging private vows turned out to be one of their favorite moments of the day.


“It felt so intimate and special to have a few moments together,” Liz describes, “just the two of us, before the next chapter of our life officially began. During the ceremony, our officiant, Fabio, built in a moment of silence. It gave us time to truly be present, to look out at our friends and family and just take it all in. I truly had to fight the tears back. We felt so lucky to be surrounded by all of our friends and family that flew across the sea to be there to celebrate us. One more aspect of our ceremony that we loved was that we put our printed vows in a box with a nice bottle of wine to open up on a milestone anniversary of choice (10 years).”

Dinner consisted of a three-course dining experience, starting with seared scallops with buffalo mozzarella. Next was a rich truffle brown butter pasta, followed by a bacon-wrapped filet. For dessert, the bride and groom turned their cake cutting into a show by participating in the building of their own wedding cake. With the help of the team from Sunlake Catering, they constructed a traditional Italian millefoglie, while also treating guests to a full dessert table. As a late-night snack, the couple surprised everyone with a pizza truck serving fresh, wood-fired pizzas to cap off an incredible Lake Como evening.

“From the very beginning,” says the bride, “I shared the planning process on TikTok. What started as just wanting to document this chapter turned into something so much more. The love and interest from people all over the world truly made the experience feel even more special, and it brought a new kind of excitement to every planning milestone. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a single thing. Our wedding felt like a true reflection of who we are, and it was the best day of our lives!”

The Honeymoon


After the wedding, the newlyweds set off on the most incredible honeymoon, traveling to the Maldives, Qatar, Greece, and Belgium.

“Each destination brought something new, relaxation, culture, exploration, and incredible food,” says Liz. “We felt so present and grateful the entire trip.”

An Artful and Modern Fairytale Wedding with Sculptural Blooms

Blake Li and James Wu were college students when they first met nearly a decade ago. During that “season of life filled with uncertainty and possibility,” the two crossed paths at a campus organization meeting. It wasn’t long before casual conversations turned into long walks between classes, late-night study sessions, and quiet moments shared over coffee.

“We became inseparable,” the couple shares, “not because of grand gestures, but because we found a quiet rhythm in each other’s presence that felt like home.”

An Unspoken Agreement

There was no “love at first sight” for Blake and James. Instead, their relationship started with an easy friendship that felt natural from the beginning. 

“We connected over shared classes, similar interests, and long conversations that never seemed to run out of topics,” they recall. “There was always something to laugh about or explore in our chats, and being around each other just felt comfortable. That foundation of friendship became the quiet beginning of something much deeper.”

Over the years, the couple experienced graduations, career changes, long-distance phases, and “the everyday growth that comes with life after college.” And throughout it all, their relationship grew from a foundation built on patience, understanding, and genuine friendship. 

There was no official proposal; there was an unspoken agreement that their futures would be shared with each other. When they decided to get married, it was simply a choice to formalize what they already knew – “that we were each other’s forever.”

Creating a Modern and Artful Fairytale Wedding

Blake and James’ wedding planning process was guided by a desire to honor their love story in a way that was elegant, yet modern. Working closely with their wedding planner, Mandy, the couple pieced together a celebration that was timeless, meaningful, and filled with artistic details.

“From the very beginning,” they explain, “Mandy guided us through every step of the process with care and creativity, ensuring that every single detail was thoughtfully curated and beautifully brought together to create a cohesive, immersive experience. The most important thing to us was for our loved ones to feel fully present in the moment – surrounded by warmth, light, and love.”

When the wedding day arrived, the bride and groom stood in a ceremony space that made them feel as if they’d stepped into a dream. Candlelight surrounded them while, overhead, cascading chandeliers were suspended along with a breathtaking altar framed by sculptural blooms. The dramatic floral backdrop created a modern, artful statement, softened by the warm glow of hundreds of candles lining the aisle.

“The space felt intimate yet grand,” they add, “perfectly capturing the quiet joy we’ve always shared. That joy was magnified in the teary eyes of our parents and the laughter of friends who had watched our love unfold over the years.”

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a wedding reception that looked like a modern fairytale. Round and long tables were draped in soft dove gray linen and adorned with endless rows of white roses placed in clear glass vases of varying heights. Hundreds of flickering candles cast a warm, golden glow that danced across acrylic chairs, creating a dreamy, immersive atmosphere. Towering crystal candleholders added vertical drama, while custom mirrored table numbers and mirrored name plates at each setting offered a personalized touch of glamour. It was romantic, refined, and guests couldn’t stop commenting on the magical ambiance.

One of the couple’s favorite décor details was a custom acrylic seating chart display, which welcomed guests with modern elegance and sculptural beauty. Each clear panel was etched with guest names and table numbers in crisp white script, stacked into a sleek tiered formation. Soft candlelight and sprigs of baby’s breath were woven throughout, adding a romantic glow and airy texture to the statement piece.

Finally, in lieu of extravagant entertainment, the couple wanted to “let the atmosphere speak” via intimate conversations, beautiful toasts, a few happy tears, and a dance floor that slowly filled as the evening unfolded.

“Every moment felt like a soft exhale,” they say. “Our story may not be dramatic or cinematic – but it’s ours. It’s built on shared history, simple joys, and a deep respect for one another. We’ve always believed in the quiet power of a steady kind of love – the kind that doesn’t demand attention, but lasts. That’s what we carried with us on our wedding day, and what we’ll continue to carry in the years to come.”

A Contemporary Indian Wedding in Orlando Blending Love, Tradition, and Celebration

Ashley Outar and Akash Khorran met in December of 2019, just before the world changed. The introduction was made by a mutual friend, and the two started building a connection across thousands of miles.

“What began as a simple Instagram DM quickly blossomed into nightly Facetime calls,” Ashley shares. “Three weeks later, Akash flew to Orlando to meet me in person. I remember being both excited and nervous, unsure of what it would be like to finally meet face to face. What followed was a perfect weekend of brunch, a day at Disney World, and Akash saying, ‘I love you’ on what technically was our very first date! From that moment on, we became inseparable – well, as inseparable as you can be in a long-distance relationship.”

A Shared Love for Adventure

One of the main factors in Ashley and Akash’s growing relationship was their shared love for adventure. Rather than simply texting and calling, the couple chose to meet up in new places, which eventually became meaningful chapters in their love story.

“Our first trip took us to Valle Guadalupe, Mexico,” Ashley recalls, “the country’s hidden wine region. Walking through the vineyards, sipping wine, and sharing sunsets, we grew even closer with every new destination.”

To kick off 2023, the couple chose to experience the “journey of a lifetime” with a month’s long adventure in Southeast Asia, starting in Vietnam, then heading to Cambodia, Malaysia, and ending in Indonesia. There, against Bali’s stunning landscape, Akash proposed and turned their epic adventure into an unforgettable destination engagement.

Admittedly, Ashley was overwhelmed by the thought of wedding planning and had no idea where to begin the process. 

“In the summer of 2023,” she explains, “we took the leap and booked a venue on our own that we thought was perfect; but it turned out to be anything but. In terms of their wedding vision, both Ashley and Akash knew they wanted the big day to be rooted in tradition, but with a modern twist – the perfect reflection of who they are. The couple’s families wanted a beautiful, multi-day Indian wedding, but Ashley and Akash also wanted a celebration that felt fresh, exciting, and unique.

“We needed a venue that could honor our cultural heritage while embracing a contemporary vibe,” Ashley explains. “A space that could capture both the rich tradition of our Hindu ceremonies and the modern energy of our celebration. After touring a few places, we knew that The Ritz-Carlton Orlando was the one. It was the perfect combination of grandeur and intimacy, with distinct spaces that would let us craft unique atmospheres for each of our events. Design and décor were among the most important aspects of wedding planning for me. I can’t emphasize enough the value of working with a wedding planner and florist who truly listen and understand your vision. From the very beginning, Carly, my wedding planner, and Sarah, my florist, seemed to read my mind. They grasped what I wanted – even beyond what I could put into words or convey through a handful of Pinterest photos.”

Love, Tradition, and Celebration

When their wedding day arrived, the outdoor pergola was transformed with vibrant, rich florals and flowing drapery that allowed the sunset to peek through during the most perfect golden hour wedding ceremony. Each detail came together to create the bride’s dream mandap, which was an exquisite contrast to the sleek, modern, all-white décor scheme the couple chose for their reception. As soon as they walked in, they were greeted by a space bathed in the soft glow of flickering candles, setting the stage for an evening of dancing, laughter, and joy.

“Entertainment was a huge priority for us,” says the bride. “We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of our West Indian and Caribbean culture. It was an incredible honor to have the legendary chutney singer, Rakesh Yankaran, perform live, made even more special by the fact that the band featured musicians from our own family. Akash even took a turn on the drums, playing on his own wedding day. Dancing to the music that shaped our childhood, surrounded by our closest family and friends, was an experience we’ll treasure forever – a perfect blend of love, tradition, and celebration.”

The Wedding Food Experience

For the bride and groom, choosing the perfect menu wasn’t just a checklist item during the wedding planning process – it was central to the entire experience. 

“Both of us, along with our families, are huge foodies,” Ashley states, “so we knew the menu had to reflect our shared love of delicious food. Enter Chef Jayshree and The Ritz-Carlton Orlando team. Our wedding tasting was nothing short of amazing. The experience was more than just a meal. For the Hindu wedding ceremony, we wanted the food to be as traditional as the ceremony itself. The vegetarian spread Chef Jayshree prepared was incredible.

It was, without a doubt, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. For our reception, we wanted to create something that felt modern and unexpected, while still bringing in the flavors that we love. We decided to go with a fusion menu, incorporating classic Indian flavors into Western-style entrees. The result? A combination that felt fresh, exciting, and perfectly suited to the atmosphere of our celebration. And the highlight? The masala mashed potatoes. To this day, our guests rave about them!”

The newlyweds will be honeymooning during Summer 2025, traveling to Spain and Portugal.
“We can’t wait to road trip the beautiful coastline from Barcelona to Porto,” Ashley shares. “We’re beyond grateful for everything we’ve experienced so far and so excited for adventures yet to come.”

Lori-Ann and Eugene Foley’s wedding day was a dreamy destination celebration in Cork, Ireland, set against the backdrop of an Irish fishing village.

“We planned it from the Cayman Islands via email at a time when that wasn’t really done,” says Lori-Ann. “We were post-Hurricane Ivan, so there was literally only one wedding magazine on the island and no Pinterest or Instagram. I cut out the pages and sent them via FedEx to the wedding planner. They did an amazing job and the wedding looked just like the images that I had sent.”

Today, the couple enjoys a busy life together raising their three boys, two dogs, a cat, and overseeing multiple businesses. Eugene is an ophthalmologist and Lori-Ann manages the clinic, owns a cake studio, and manages and develops their short-term rental properties. Traveling has become one of their favorite ways to spend time together, although the couple credits their successful marriage to compromise and communication.

“Nurturing a relationship is a daily commitment,” they say. “You have to be the cheerleader for your partner.”

To celebrate 20 years together, Lori-Ann and Eugene held a special vow renewal on a private beach in the Cayman Islands. Orchestrated by Celebrations, the milestone anniversary had a theme of “coastal romance,” with a soft, timeless color palette of whites and light blues that perfectly complemented the Caribbean setting. The ceremony took place just as the sun began to set, creating the most magical, golden hour ambiance.

“A curved floral arch, overflowing with lush white and blue blooms and soft greenery, was the main focal point on a white platform aisle, giving it a luxurious yet organic look that blended seamlessly with the sandy setting,” describes the Celebrations team. “Along the aisle, tall white roses were placed, creating a dreamy and minimalist path toward the altar. This contrast gave a modern edge to the classic setting. We also incorporated candles at the base of the arch for a soft, warm glow, to create the right amount of intimacy. “He is very easy to get along with and is always willing to assist in all areas of our lives,” Lori-Ann shares about her husband. “He loves my strength and creativity. We are both great listeners and so we turn to each other for advice and solace all the time.”

After two decades of marriage, the couple also has a piece of advice for newlyweds: “Renew your vows every few years, whether formally or informally. Life changes and people change; it is important to commit to the changes that are inevitable.”

Elizabeth and Daniel Larkins first met at a bar in downtown Baltimore. It started out as an ordinary evening, but there was something about Elizabeth that captured Daniel’s attention. There wasn’t a grand gesture or cinematic moment; just a feeling of ease, curiosity, and the kind of spark that quietly stayed with him.

As far as first impressions go, Elizabeth noticed how grounded and kind Daniel was, and how he exuded a “steady presence that makes you feel safe.” Daniel recalls being captivated by Elizabeth’s confidence and warmth. The evening was filled with laughter, a comfortable familiarity, and an immediate sense that their connection might be something special.

A DC Engagement and Wedding Planning Process

A few years later, Daniel proposed at the Declaration of Independence Memorial in the heart of Washington, DC, where the couple now lives and works.

“It was peaceful and private, surrounded by history and quiet beauty,” the couple shares. “The moment felt like us: thoughtful, intimate, and full of meaning.”

The wedding planning process was a flurry of decisions, inspiration boards, and incorporating traditional wedding details in a thoughtful and authentic way.

“From the beginning,” the couple adds, “we envisioned something that felt timeless, elegant, and reflective of our life together. The Hay-Adams was the perfect fit – full of charm, history, and iconic views that made the entire day feel unmistakably ‘DC.’”

By the end, Katie helped Elizabeth and Daniel translate their wedding vision into an experience that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

An Immersive Washington DC Wedding Experience

When the wedding day arrived, it felt like every element clicked into place. The bride walked down the aisle wearing a sleek Katherine Tash wedding gown, feeling both beautiful and emotional. The groom, ever calm and centered, waited for her at the altar while dressed in Paul Stuart.

“There’s nothing quite like seeing all your people – family, friends, chosen loved ones – gathered in one place to celebrate your story,” they say. “The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, but it was cocktail hour that resonated with us both emotionally. We paid tribute to our mothers by displaying their wedding gowns – a nod to legacy, love, and the women who shaped us. Seeing our guests pause and reflect at that display was one of the most touching moments of the day.”

The couple summed up their wedding reception with one word: magic. From the moody lighting to the cascading florals by Sweet Root Village that dripped from the ceiling, the immersive ambiance was simply dreamlike. The tablescapes were modern yet elegant, intentionally designed to make guests feel enveloped in something special. Paired with the ceiling installations, each décor detail added a layer of visual storytelling to the experience.

“The dinner was also delicious, the toasts were heartfelt and hilarious, and the dance floor was full until the very last song,” says the couple. “Looking back, the day was everything we had hoped it would be – full of meaning, joy, and the kind of memories we’ll hold onto for a lifetime.”

Mary Easa and Daniel Tsivin’s love story was sparked by Instagram circa October 2019, when a mirror selfie between two coworkers was posted to an Instagram story. Within its 24-hour window, Dan spotted the girl who would one day become his wife.

Never being shy about how he feels, Dan immediately messaged his friend: “Who is that?” He followed Mary on IG that same day. A few days later, Mary followed him back, unaware she had just triggered a five-year timeline of romantic persistence. For Dan, that tiny green “follow back” button was all the confirmation he needed to believe he might have a shot.

From Instagram to Modern-Day Pen Pals

At the time, Mary was thriving in London – living her best solo life, working hard, traveling constantly, and documenting her adventures with just the right amount of dry, self-deprecating humor. Meanwhile, Dan was wrapping up his time in Washington, D.C., balancing a new job with a social calendar that could make a cruise director dizzy. And while they hadn’t met or even spoken, Dan watched Mary’s stories religiously. He thought she was hilarious. She, meanwhile, had no idea who “that guy Dan” even was.

Then came 2020. The world paused. Dan moved to New York, Mary’s European dream grew uncertain, and she returned home to Michigan. One day, Mary posted a lighthearted story: her dad asking, “Why don’t you have a boyfriend?” Dan seized the moment. He slid into her DMs with: “Sorry, Mary, it’s because I’m in New York.” Her reply? Two laughing emojis. And just like that, the spark ignited.

Mary and Dan became modern-day pen pals. Slow replies from Mary, enthusiastic reactions from Dan, who didn’t mind waiting. He wasn’t in a rush – he just wanted Mary to know he existed. Their conversations grew deeper. They bonded over travel, Harry Potter, childhood stories, and the mystery of Dan’s ability to hit snooze a record number of times during college.

Eventually, Mary returned to the U.S., this time to New York. In June 2021, she landed a new job. Suddenly, they were no longer separated by an ocean – just a few short Subway stops. On August 14, 2021, they met in person. Their first date lasted 12 hours and included rooftop drinks, tacos, a walk in the park, a comedy show, pizza, and cabaret. Dan was hooked. The next day, he deleted his dating apps. A week later, he asked Mary to be his girlfriend. Three weeks later, he told her he loved her.

A Lincoln Center Proposal and Manhattan City Hall Wedding

By early 2022, the couple moved in together. They traveled from Hawaii to Michigan, Italy to Israel. Everywhere they went, they made memories, built inside jokes, and fell even deeper in love. Mary, who had always believed in love but wasn’t sure how it would arrive, found not only romance, but her very best friend. Dan found his cheerleader, co-pilot, and ultimate muse.

On December 14, 2022, Dan planned the proposal. Mary had always wanted to see the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center, so he surprised her with tickets. Outside, before the show, Dan asked her to pose for a photo in front of a seasonal sculpture. When she turned back around, he was on one knee. Mary, red as a strawberry and smiling from ear to ear, couldn’t say “yes” fast enough.

The proposal wasn’t the beginning – it was a joyful checkpoint. By then, they had already built a beautiful life together, including welcoming their daughter, Violet, earlier that year. They’d already made it official with a Manhattan City Hall wedding, surrounded by taxis, courthouse steps, and the low hum of distant sirens. Their next step? A big celebration across the ocean, surrounded by friends and family.

A Castle Wedding in the French Countryside

To celebrate their nuptials overseas, Mary and Dan hosted a destination castle wedding in the French countryside. Just when they thought their fairytale wedding couldn’t be more romantic, a light rain shower entered the picture. While they had initially hoped for perfect weather, the soft rain only added to the charm while giving the whole thing “serious Pride & Prejudice vibes.” Despite the drizzle and some wedding-day jitters, the bride and groom were calm and joyful. They had already done the “legal” thing. They had already built a family. This day was about celebration – about love, laughter, good food, and finally seeing all the people who had supported them over the years.

The wedding night itself was magical: heartfelt vows, twinkling lights, a delicious feast, nonstop dancing, and a daughter twirling around like she owned the castle. Mary and Dan were beaming. By the end of the night, which felt like a movie, the newlyweds were exhausted, grateful, and overflowing with joy.

Honeymooning in Amsterdam

After their fairytale castle wedding, the couple and their 8-month-old adventure buddy capped off their trip with a honeymoon to (baby-friendly!) Amsterdam. Cobblestone streets, charming canals, cheese samples that hit way harder than expected – Mary, Dan, and Violet explored the city hand-in-hand, savoring stroopwafels and sidewalk strolls as they wandered from one charming neighborhood to another. It was the perfect way to round out a whirlwind wedding chapter.

Makenna and Alec Marsh met during their college years at Arizona State University, when Makenna played softball and Alec was on the baseball team. The two athletes eventually crossed paths at a college baseball party.

“I remember noticing him right away,” Makenna shares. “He was the older, cuter guy with an easy smile and a quiet confidence that stood out. As athletes, we instantly bonded over our love of sports and the unique experience of balancing school and competition. It felt like we understood each other from the beginning.”

Years later, Alec planned a romantic proposal at one of their favorite places – Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona.

“As we stepped onto the terrace overlooking the desert skyline,” Makenna describes, “I noticed hidden photographers and videographers capturing the moment. I instantly started crying. Then Alec got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was surreal. We celebrated afterward with a private dinner inside the mansion’s elegant restaurant, soaking in every second of what had just happened.”

A Romantic Black-Tie Wedding at Monserate Winery in California

The couple’s wedding planning process was filled with joy and excitement from the start, and the bride-to-be had a wonderful time working with her mom to bring her dream wedding to life. After carefully selecting each vendor, every detail came together perfectly. Having chosen Monserate Winery in Fallbrook, California, and Italian-inspired winery with a stunning ambiance, the wedding day felt like something out of a fairytale.

The couple chose to have a black-tie wedding, emphasizing the timeless, romantic setting of Monserate Winery. A black and white color palette was used for the décor, keeping the aesthetic elegant and sophisticated. Guests were also asked to wear black, white allowed the bride and groom to stand out in white. As a result, the wedding photos turned out to be a breathtaking selection of captures that looked like stills from a movie.

“There are so many moments from that day that will stay with us forever,” says Makenna, “but two stand out above the rest. The first was during our ceremony, when we shared our personal vows. It was emotional, intimate, and everything we hoped it would be. The second came at the end of the night, when the venue had emptied and we had our private last dance. Just the two of us wrapped in each other’s arms, holding onto every second. That moment was ours alone – a perfect way to end a perfect day.”

Honeymooning in Playa del Carmen

The newlyweds followed up their black-tie wedding celebration by honeymooning in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, staying at La Casa de la Playa.

“It was, without exaggeration, the most spectacular resort we’ve ever visited,” Makenna adds. “With only 60 rooms on the property, it felt like our own private paradise. The crystal blue water, the infinity pools, the delicious cocktails – it was heaven. The standout part of the honeymoon we will never forget was the food!

Alec and I are huge foodies, and one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip was dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant right on the resort property. Every dish was a masterpiece, and the flavors were out of this world. It wasn’t just a meal – it was an experience. 
Overall, this was a time in our lives that we both wish we can relive.”

Annalyn Kumar and Narain Reddy’s story began during their junior year at Boston University. Introduced through mutual friends, they instantly connected. Narain quickly asked Annalyn on a study date. With no exams on her radar and three looming on his, she agreed as she was more excited to hang out than study. That one “study” session sparked a bond that only deepened with time.

From the start, Narain was captivated by Annalyn’s energy, which is full of life, fun, and able to make everyone feel welcome and included. Annalyn was drawn to Narain’s wit, thoughtfulness, and how he made conversations both meaningful and hilarious. Their friendship quickly became something more, rooted in curiosity, humor, and admiration.
They dated for seven years before their wedding, spending nearly four of those years long distance. Despite busy lives and different cities, they never lost sight of their goal of building a future together. Through countless FaceTimes and plane rides, their commitment only grew stronger.

Engaged in Chicago

On March 1, 2024, Narain orchestrated an unforgettable proposal. Knowing how much Annalyn adored Chicago, he convinced her to join him on a trip for a "conference." In reality, he had planned a surprise proposal at Milton Lee Olive Park, a picturesque spot overlooking the skyline. Despite the freezing temperatures, he somehow convinced Annalyn to leave her coat behind. Their families emerged from hiding with tears, laughter, and hugs all around. They took photos before heading to what Annalyn thought was a quiet family dinner, only to walk into a surprise engagement party with fifty of their closest friends and family who had flown in from across the country. While she had her suspicions about the proposal, she never saw the party coming.

The Ultimate Miami Wedding Experience

Annalyn and Narain always knew they wanted their wedding to feel like a true reflection of their relationship, which is adventurous, vibrant, and rooted in shared experiences. Miami was the perfect backdrop. With its energy, color, beachside beauty, and cultural diversity, the city captured the spirit of their love story. It was also a destination that allowed them to bring together loved ones from across the country in a place that felt both exciting and welcoming.

Together with their parents, siblings, and extended family, Annalyn and Narain spent just under a year planning every detail of the celebration. Planning trips to Miami became special weekends filled with walkthroughs, vendor meetings, and family dinners. When Tum Hi Ho Events joined the team three months before the big day, everything began to come together seamlessly. Annalyn and Narain knew from the beginning that they didn’t want the wedding to feel like one long event. Instead, each moment, from the welcome dinner to the reception, was designed to have its own personality and energy.

The weekend kicked off with a welcome dinner at the Paramount Miami Worldcenter. Set in the heart of downtown, the event took place on the 55^th floor, the guests were greeted by the glitz and glam of Miami. They created a custom theme “Join Us for A Drink in Our Favorite Cities,” with signature cocktails representing five meaningful places in their relationship and custom coaster gift sets. The theme was a personal, playful touch that set the tone for the weekend.

The next morning, guests gathered for the Haldi ceremony on the beach behind the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Surrounded by waves and sunshine, the event was a burst of color and fun. The decor featured sunflowers and water elements, reflecting the Haldi’s symbolic ties to cleansing and renewal. To make the event even more interactive, they set up beach games including Connect 4, Jenga, Spike Ball, and customized Cornhole Boards. Fresh coconuts with their monogram served as refreshing drinks and keepsakes for guests. After being covered in Haldi paste by friends and family, the couple capped off the celebration by running into the ocean. The whole event felt relaxed, intimate, and full of laughter.

That evening, the Sangeet took place at The Temple House, one of Miami Beach’s most unique venues. The entire space was transformed with projection mapping that covered every surface with custom visuals matching the vibrant Miami-inspired palette of pinks, oranges, and greens. The program flowed continuously with dances and heartfelt speeches. The international menu offered flavors from all over, including a taco bar and Italian station, reflecting their shared love for food and culture. The energy in the room was electric, and by the end of the night, the dance floor was packed with friends and family from every stage of their lives.

Celebrating Culture, Family, and Heritage

On March 1, 2025, exactly one year since Narain proposed to Annalyn, the two got married. First, Narain’s baraat made its way down Collins Avenue, complete with a white horse, dhol, and dancing turning heads all the way to the Loews. The ceremony itself was a traditional Telugu wedding, led by a pandit who guided them through sacred rituals and meaningful mantras passed down through generations. Surrounded by the calming breeze and lush greenery on the Americana Lawn, the couple performed each step from the jeelakarra-bellam to the mangalsutra. The soulful music of the nadaswaram filled the air, setting a sacred tone, while the live singing of the Mangala Aarthi added a heartfelt, devotional touch. The sounds of the ocean blended with the rhythm of Sanskrit and Telugu chants, creating a spiritual ambiance that grounded the celebration in culture, family, and heritage.

Cocktail hour kicked off on the Americana Lawn, where guests were greeted with signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres and live stations, and the enchanting sound of a live violinist blending Bollywood favorites with contemporary English hits. The reception that evening was held in the Americana Ballroom and felt like stepping into a dream. Designed to be romantic and sophisticated, the space featured soft lighting and elegant floral arrangements. A same day edit from Vellora Weddings gave everyone a cinematic recap of the magical weekend. Dinner was served buffet-style by Madras Catering, offering a mix of comfort and elevated Indian cuisine. Every detail was intentional, and every moment felt like a celebration of not just a marriage, but a journey.

A Honeymoon in Southeast Asia

After the celebrations, they jetted off for their next adventure, their two-week honeymoon through Southeast Asia. The trip began in Thailand, where they explored Bangkok, took a cooking class in Chiang Mai, and relaxed on the beaches of Phuket. From there, they headed to Singapore and Bali. One of the most memorable moments came in a surf lesson in Bali. Narain was confident he’d master it quickly, while Annalyn was more hesitant. To their surprise, Annalyn stayed upright while Narain struggled to catch a wave.

Looking back, they’re most grateful for how personal and joy-filled their wedding was. Every detail reflected their love, their families, and the vibrant energy they bring into everything they do.
